- JNJessica NApr 8, 20261.0went in for a simple wiper blade replacement and ended up leaving with a broken windshield. I returned to the store and spoke with the manager, who took photos in the pouring rain and collected all of my information. I was told the district manager would be reaching out to discuss the issue. During that conversation, I was told the location of the crack was not typical for a wiper blade replacement. However, I explained that instead of walking around the vehicle, the technician was leaning across the windshield over the old wiper blade, which has a sharp edge. Based on that, I believe the pressure applied to the glass is what caused the damage. I travel frequently for work and can confidently say there was no crack prior to this visit. In fact, the crack appeared immediately after leaving the parking lot—within about 200 feet at the stoplight. Additionally, if there had been a pre-existing crack, as suggested, that raises an even bigger concern—why is there no policy to flag or refuse service on a damaged windshield? At a minimum, the technician could have said hey, your windshield is broke. It has now been well over a month with no follow-up from anyone. The lack of communication and accountability is extremely disappointing. What should have been a routine service has turned into a costly and frustrating situation with no resolution. I would strongly recommend caution when using this location based on my experience.
