- DKderek kruzickiNov 5, 20251.0I needed a rental car after my car was in an accident and progressive insurance was evaluating liability. Progressive said they usually use Enterprise and I should look for them for the easiest reimbursement for when they accept liability. Progressive eventually accepted liability and then said they don’t work with this airport enterprise. I chose this airport one since it was the closest to my house. When I picked up the car the rental car person asked if it was needed due an accident. I told him it was. Progressive instead said I needed to go to a different enterprise about 5 more miles away to get their approved location. I got the bill from airport enterprise and tried to get reimbursed but could only get partial. I went back to both enterprise locations and asked for them to fix my daily rate to match what progressive agreed to but they said they couldn’t. These were different markets and the airport doesn’t usually do insurance. How was I supposed to know which enterprise the insurance works with? Why would the airport enterprise ask if this was for an accident if they can’t do anything about that? The car and the service at both places was very good. I felt like I did everything I could and was still scammed from both enterprise and progressive. I called three times to try to get resolved with no success. There is a regional manager that manages both locations so I was unsure why they couldn’t make this right. I want to make sure that if you’re getting a rental car for an accident be very careful which location you use.

He assured me that they would be there at least two hours after my flight was scheduled to arrive 12-2. I arrived right at 12 and they had already closed despite assuring me they would be open until 2 AM. Luckily there was someone from Avis still there and she was able to assist me. I will never use Enterprise at the Madison airport again after this experience.
