Having a cracked windshield is frustrating, Safelite made it easy to fix. Scheduling was simple, communication was great, the technician was even better. Explanations of what he was repairing was thorough. I'm waiting for some follow up by one of his managers to order some additional parts and I'm hoping that experience is 5 ⭐ as well.

The technician was great. Anthony arrived on time, inspected the area, explained the repair process, and gave an accurate estimate of how long it would take. Unfortunately, the final result was very disappointing. With the cost breakdown showing only $8 in materials and a staggering $230 in labor, it’s hard not to feel like Safelite is using an extremely cheap resin. The repair reflects that—both chips are still clearly visible, and the resin doesn’t appear to have filled them at all. For the price, I expected a premium-quality repair, but the outcome was very poor. If this is representative of Safelite’s typical results, I cannot recommend Safelite.
I scheduled an appointment with on March 14th for a basic windshield repair. The technician, Anthony, completed the job but left a mess inside my vehicle and did not put my stickers back on after I specifically requested that he do so.
Shortly after the repair, I began noticing a whistling sound while driving at higher speeds. Within a few days, the exterior trim started popping off whenever I drove over 25 mph or even when closing the car door. This quickly became a serious safety concern, as loose trim could easily become a hazard to other drivers or pedestrians.
I attempted to contact the Kenosha location multiple times during business hours but received no response. I also tried calling the warranty line, where I initially couldn’t even schedule an appointment through the automated system. After three days of repeated calls, I was finally able to reach someone and schedule a warranty appointment for March 28th. I was told they would need a replacement windshield.
I took time off work to be present for the appointment, only for the technician, Christopher, to never show up. I received no call, message, or explanation. I again tried contacting the Kenosha location with no response, and even customer service was unable to reach them or explain the no-show.
The next day, I went to the location in person. I requested a different technician, as the initial work was clearly not done properly. That request was ignored. Instead, I was told it was just a matter of replacing plastic clips, and they performed a quick fix.
As of April 3rd, the same issues have returned—the trim continues to pop off, and the whistling noise is still present.
This has been an extremely frustrating and time-consuming experience. Between the poor initial workmanship, lack of communication, missed appointment without notice, and failure to properly resolve the issue under warranty, I cannot recommend Safelite. You would expect a large company to stand behind their work and provide reliable service, but that has not been my experience.
After reviewing their Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, it appears that issues like this are not isolated incidents but part of a recurring pattern. Based on my experience and what I’ve seen from others, I would strongly suggest saving your time, money, and energy by going to a reputable local professional instead.

I wish I had looked at reviews before using safelite in Kenosha because maybe it could have saved me the headache. I was canceled on multiple times due another tech leaving my windshield behind in their truck on their day off and then after being rescheduled they called and said that windshield was actually broken. I asked to speak with a manager because I took 2 mornings off to be available and was canceled on due to mistakes of their technicians and no management ever reached out to me. They rescheduled my appointment without speaking to me about it and when they came to do the appointment they misquoted me the amount by almost double! I finally called the 1-800 number to get me in touch with a manager and the woman I spoke to was the most unprofessional customer service I have encountered. She was unable to even offer the discount that the technician had told me they could do. I asked to speak with the district manager who I am still waiting on a call from and currently have over $500 of charges from safelite than I was supposed to!! I can't get in contact with anyone and now I an out that money until they hopefully call me back. Awful, terrible experience and I dont recommend anyone to them!
Update March 31st: Still waiting to hear back from someone for an explanation on why my account was out and additional almost $500 for 4 days without my approval. District Manager was supposed to call back days ago and never did.

This is not the 1st time my wife and I used them. Hers also needed to be replaced like mine does too now. Avoid the chip fix at all cost. Seeing the other reviews, I shouldn't have used my insurance to do this and now have to pay even more to fix my windshield. Not saying safelite is bad but this resin fill is garbage. Don't bother with it. My chip was the size of a pea maybe. Now its a 6 inch crack and will get worse due to weather.
