    Have had nothing but trouble at this location, took my vehicle in for an oil change in April ($173) and they broke one of my side mirrors. Covered under warranty but they never took blame for it. Decided it couldn’t be this bad a second time, well I was wrong. Quote was $208 for oil change, tire rotation was not necessary so I opted out of that. Wife picked up the vehicle and when she got home I noticed not only was I charged $25 for a tire rotation, but was charged twice for a shop fee $35 in total. Will never return or refer anyone to this company

    Great customer service. The wonderful young lady at the front desk went up and above to help me. I pulled in with a flat. They immediately helped me locate a shop that had the correct tire I needed. Put on my donut. Fantastic and I will be back.

    Today I had my brakes inspected and installed at the Car-X Tire & Auto in Hudson, WI. I was the first customer of the morning at 7:30 a.m. and was greeted promptly by the front desk technician (and two dogs). The staff clearly explained how the quote would be created and, once approved, how the work would proceed. After agreeing to the diagnosis, the parts were ordered within minutes and the work began right away. There was a small hiccup with the initial part order, but overall the job was completed in about 2.25 hours, very close to the original estimate. The work itself was done well, and communication throughout the process was solid. While waiting in the showroom, however, I couldn’t help but notice the lack of cleanliness. The floor was quite dirty, and all three rugs—one at each entrance and one in front of the desk—were covered in dog hair and dirt. An early-morning sweep, mop, and quick vacuum would go a long way toward making a better first impression, especially before opening for the day. Additionally, the side yard had visible dog waste. As a lifelong dog owner myself, I understand it’s not glamorous, but maintaining a clean exterior is part of running a customer-facing business. Overall, the quality of the work and the communication were good. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the facility was off-putting and detracted from an otherwise positive experience. One more thing, check their list of online coupons. I saved $200 on the brakes by showing it during the initial order.

    We had our SUV towed to car-x after it had broken down on the freeway. First of all they were kind and generous with their time and support and basically over the top helpful. They reviewed all the costs and needs of the vehicle very timely with reasonable options and costs. Our vehicle was really in very bad condition and too much money for us really to keep fixing it. They were kind and honest and helped us make the best choice. We ended up deciding to let go of our vehicle and they allowed us to keep it in their parking lot for a few days before we had it picked up for donation all of this at no charge. I would recommend Car-x, I believe they do a very good job.
