- JDJered DAug 7, 20251.0Got a quote for almost 1000 dollars for a transmission fluid change just filter and fluid very easy to do on a 2017 dodge durango 3.6l told me it cost about 30 a qt of oil for them when I can get good fluid for about 8 dollars a qt total rip off. I can do the whole fluid and change with good brand oem parts for about 300. I'm a Mobile Mechanic and wouldn't ever charge 700 for labor if at most labor for this vehicle should be 300 to 150!

That's all fine I suppose but, the quote for getting the transmission fixed was $1700 more than a guy down town who gave me the same guarantee and was much friendlier.
