- GVGeoff VergesDec 24, 20255.0Just amazing service from Advanced Auto Parts in Brookfield Wisconsin. My truck battery died on me, while I was at work. Buddy came and jumped it so it would start. I called Advanced Auto Parts and they had a battery in stock for me. I drove over there and the young man who helped me checked the battery, said it could be replaced as the reserves were low, but the real issue was that my connecting terminal was loose. I chose to get a new battery. He had that thing installed in less than 5 minutes and he helped look at the check engine code that I was receiving. It was for a low battery. I was in and out in a total of less than 15 minutes. Amazing experience and I couldn't be happier with the result.

They physically were wrong, but were listed for my vehicle. My bad, didn't think anything of it being I wasn't able to install them. Went to go exchange and they would not accept the other ones back. I ended up buying the correct ones from them to complete the vehicle for my customer. Spending more then I quoted. You just lost a great repeat business customer!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
