Finance rep talked me into a platinum extended warranty I didn’t really want (I’ve been burnt by them before).
Surprise! About a month later the wireless charger in my F350 stops working. I took it back to sunset ford where I was charged $260 for some “update”.
I would be less upset except I directly asked the finance rep “you promis ANYTHING electrical goes wrong it’s covered?”. With all the confidence of a seasoned liar they answered “absolutely 100%”.
Well I guess everything except this issue.
When did we stop caring that our word is worth anything?

We had a steering wheel warning light come on and noticed it was very difficult to turn tight corners. Our Ford Escape had a Safety recall in 2018 and was fixed. However in 2026 the steering wheel needed another fix and the Safety fix on a secondary recall was not honored by Ford. I felt that to be odd as Ford says Safety recalls don't expire. In the End, we were very grateful that Ford Sumner was able to fit us in with an appointment and repaired our car within 4 days. After all the costs of a rental car, accommodations (we live 3 hours up north) and a repair bill later, we are finally back home. We recommend Ford Sumner for repairs. Thank you Ford Sumner for your timely professional work & getting us back on the road again. Mir & Doug

Low pressure salesmen, both via text and on the lot. We told them what we were looking for and how much we could afford. They didn’t try to talk us out of it. They showed us the best options for our budget. It made us want to stay and allowed us to buy. This is our 3rd vehicle purchased through Sunset Ford and there is definitely a reason we keep coming back. There was a friendly atmosphere and very clean and bright facility.
I'm sorry to say that the service at this dealership has gone downhill. They were expensive, but they treated customers like they mattered. Not only have they taken a big price increase for oil changes, suddenly they are charging for tire rotation during an oil change. Plus they left my car outside the bay (I can get past that) when they used to drive it into the bay for me. After I located my car, I had to remove their trash and look for a trash can to throw it in. Not to mention there cost and extra charges that they've never charged. I'm disappointed and not sure I will return to this dealership. I'd be better off changing my own oil and rotating the tires.

I can’t say enough good things about Sunset Ford. My experience was great from start to finish. I came in as a single woman looking for a vehicle, and I was nervous, but Rocky immediately made me feel comfortable. He was patient, helpful, and never pressured me.
Whenever Rocky didn’t know the answer to something, he reached out to his manager right away, who was also incredibly knowledgeable, kind and helpful. It really showed how supportive the team is.
Even down to Austin in the finance department, my experience was top notch. He made sure I understood everything I was signing and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made the process feel easy and stress free.
Rocky listened to what I wanted and made sure I drove away in the Bronco Sport I had my heart set on, and I absolutely love it.
Overall, this was the best vehicle buying experience I’ve had. I’m grateful for the whole team at Sunset Ford and would recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle.
