- JKJackie Kaelin3 days ago1.0Our transmission is going out and there are known issues with similar Silverados. We were told since our warranty isn’t in compliance it would cost about $8000. There were recalls and a class action lawsuit for transmission issues but they said not our model even though it’s the same issue. Also we paid for 2 diagnostics and 1 belt to be replaced and we’re charged over $600. What a rip off. I wish there was more honesty and integrity in the car dealership. What a shame!

It started with our salesman Brennen Ostrem that was knowledgeable and very patient. We drove over a dozen trucks in three different visits. he was very patient helping us to find the exact truck that fit our needs.We worked with two different sales manager's, both went above and beyond Our expectations to make things right. When we closed out the deal our finance guy was awesome!!! I would recommend anybody to Sunset Chevrolet for a place to feel good about purchasing a vehicle!!!!

The dealers, finance, and the manager were helpful and relatable, and I could tell they were only looking to make a good sale that benefits both parties and not trying to screw people over. That said, still keep your wits about you to make sure you get the best deal. The lifetime limited powertrain warranty and oil changes for life are a great deal. All of these reasons are why I ended up buying a new truck from them versus the other local dealerships and I’m happy with the outcome.
