Issue one: You get what they feel like giving you, not what you paid for.
During busy hours, they operate on a “cram them through” strategy. Doesn’t matter what tier you’re paying for…when it’s packed, every car gets the same half rinse regardless of what’s on your receipt. Their brushes leave scratches down my car. I watched my car come out of the tunnel consistently under-washed on busy days. Not “could be better” actually half done. So, a few months ago I downgraded my membership because why pay premium prices for a budget result? There’s zero reason a business running a conveyor car wash can’t give proper car-length spacing between vehicles. Zero. They choose not to, and your paint job pays the price.
Issue two: The sticker situation, and the attitude that came with it.
Mister Car Wash puts a membership sticker on your windshield. Fine. What’s not fine is acting like that sticker is sacred property the moment a customer reasonably asks for an alternative placement or solution. I’m a car enthusiast. My car is an ongoing project. I don’t want business advertisement plastered on my vehicle, simple as that. I paid a lot of money for a vehicle. We all do. That should be my choice. It should be my choice what’s on it.
On two separate occasions I calmly asked if we could work something out. It was like they were figuring out a Turbopump on a rocket ship…. Maybe I tape the sticker somewhere inside the car out of sight? Both times I was met with the energy of someone who had just been personally insulted. Offended. As if asking a question about a sticker placement was an attack on the institution itself and highly inconvenient that I make them look up, think and address something and someone.
The second time, the gEnErAl mAnAgEr — Isabella R.( idk how she spells her name) who made sure to insert herself without warrant made an appearance. Announced her title, as if it all the sudden meant her word was stone, and a Golden stone at that. She stepped in from the crew of pretentious, iPad-clutching staff, clearly barely hanging on to any job they can get based off the joy removed from their eyes, to “handle it.” Like what’re you handling? This is a carwash, it’s a sticker. You’re acting like this is the Mister Carwash badge of honor and once removed the weight of all Mister Carwash wash ancestors shall be washed down the Spokane River. NOT ON HER WATCH!! What she handled was me deciding to cancel my membership all together. Her explanation? They can’t allow stickers on cards because I could take it and hand it to someone else for a free wash. That’s fair and understandable but maybe have a better policy and work with people on where they want their sticker. Her Quote: “It’s not that we don’t trust you, as a business we don’t trust anyone.”
Wonderful. So your policy is to openly tell paying members you consider them potential thieves. Noted. The cherry on top? I suggested they simply scan the sticker off the lower lip of the bumper. They’d have to squat, sure, but it solves every problem. Her response: “Oh, we aren’t doing that.”
Of course not. That would require effort… and effort seems to be in short supply at Mister Carwash. Staff standing around in Mister Car Wash gear like they’re staging a summit attempt on Everest, too occupied to wash a car properly at peak hours but fully mobilized the moment a customer questions sticker placement.
You want to gatekeep what people do with their own vehicles, deliver less than what’s paid for, and then treat customers like suspects when they ask a reasonable question. That’s the full package at Car Wash. You don’t deserve the Mister.
Hard pass. There are plenty of car washes in Spokane Valley that actually wash cars and treat customers like adults.

Don’t use this place unless you don’t care about your paint. Their brushes will leave scratches down the side of your vehicle.

You have no business asking for a tip when no service beyond what I already paid for was provided. It is preditory and unacceptable to push the burden of low wages on to the consumer. Either provide a service that justifies a tip or pay your employees a livable wage. Unbelievable.

It’s very nice to be able to go in and get my car cleaned anytime I need it. I just wish the staff would spend a little more time cleaning the drapes. Sometimes when you leave there, your car is very dirty.
