  My family has gone to Jiffy lube for all our cars to get our oil changed for many years because we have always gotten great service but today made me never want to go back again. I went in today to get a routine oil change and one of the technicians dropped my oil cap in my car and did not inform me of the issue until I had already sat there for 30 minutes. Then one of the technicians(Ninja) came over and informed me that they had dropped the cap somewhere in my car and needed their manager to come help them get it out. The manager came over and spend a good 20 minutes trying to get the cap out of my car. A little bit later Ninja came over to tell me that the cap was in an area of my car that was really hard to reach so they would just replace the cap for the time being because they couldn’t get the cap out. After they changed my oil, they put my car back together and tried to send me on my way. Before I left I wanted to clarify if my oil cap had been removed or not and technician who came to collect my payment told me yes. I asked again to clarify if they had gotten it out and then the technician said “oh no, we didn’t get it out but it will be fine”. They then gave me no receipt or information about my car or what needed to be serviced as they usually do and tried to get me out of there as fast as possible. I paid and left very disappointed in the service I received and was scared to drive my car because I didn’t want the cap to melt. I felt as though they were banking on the fact that I was a girl and I didn’t know anything and I was just going to go along with it because I am just a dumb girl! But my question now is if they aren’t going to get it out when who will and how am I supposed to know that where they dropped the cap isn’t going to lead to further issues. When I got home I had my dad call the shop and the manager said that I didn’t get a receipt or any of the other paperwork because their printer was broken and he was under the impression that they had gotten the cap out of the car but he didn’t know all the details because he was at lunch while this was going on. The manager stated that we should have gotten an email with all the information but that paperwork conveniently left out the fact that they had dropped the cap and left the cap in my car. I also wonder how the manager could have been at lunch and unaware that it was not removed but also be under my car at the same time???? To be completely honest they made me feel unsafe driving my car and made me never want to return. My car gets frequent oil changes due to is age which used to be service by Jiffy lube but will now be serviced by someone else. The only positive part of the experience was the technician Ninja because he was one only one who was honest with me and kept me up to date on what was going on. I think Ninja should be promoted to manager because the current manager doesn’t really seem to care about their customers or that his technicians are allowing customers to leave without cleaning up the messes they created.
