  I'm not one to leave bad reviews, The day Penske absolutely needs to be studied... Originally U-Haul Had the better price, when it came to a local move, and day use ... But they did not have a 26 foot truck available in my area and that's what I needed.... I checked Penske online and the first quote I got was $355 For a local move!!!! Going 10 miles: which is absolutely insane... I called Penske instead, and then they gave me another absolutely ridiculous quote... But after a little bit of negotiating, I got it down to $120 that's for ( a 26ft truck , 12 furniture pads. And a handtruck and 10 miles) That's highway robbery... But because it's the weekend and nobody else was open I just decided to just do it, I drove two hours to the location and I get a call from a representative , I was just making sure I was going to be on time for my reservation... And then he drops a bombshell on me changes the price on me and says that there's a $300 non refundable deposit on top of the additional charges... sooooo $420 for a 10 mile move? I would advise anybody to stay away from Penske... U-Haul was $60. Enterprise truck rental was $55 and budget truck rental was $53... with equipment..... Penske should be ashamed of themselves

  They Originally had a day cab with a 53' dry van reserved for me. They called last minute and asked if I could use a sleeper cab instead because that was all they had available. I agreed to use the sleeper cab. When I got there to pick up the rig I had reserved, they told me all they had was 26' box trucks. So I had to find another driver, and rent 2 26’ box trucks and spend over $500 more than the original contract price.

  Took my reservation a week in advance, but rented out the truck I reserved the night before and gave no alternative trucks as a replacement, since I needed a lift gate. Was told they'd call the day of reservation to give an update and figure out rescheduling, but instead I had to swim through their jank automated national phone system even with local number and never got info or ability to reschedule. An absolute disappointment having made plans and having to cancel on helpers who blocked time on Labor Day Weekend.
