I purchased a vehicle in cash, and while they provided temporary plates, they failed to apply for the permanent ones. After 45 days, when my temporary plates expired, I reached out to inquire about my regular plates. They told me they would try to get them soon and even suggested that I continue driving the vehicle with expired temporary plates.
This is completely unprofessional and discourteous behavior. They seem focused only on making the sale and provide no after-sales support.

I am incredibly disappointed with the level of service and lack of professionalism I’ve experienced at this dealership group (Swickard Auto Group), spanning both the initial purchase (at Volvo Cars Bellevue) and subsequent service visits (at Volvo Cars Seattle). Both dealerships are owned by Swickard Auto Group. For a "premium" brand, the experience has been anything but.
The issues started at the Bellevue location during the sales process. There was a complete lack of transparent pricing, making what should have been an exciting purchase feel like a constant battle to get a straight answer. Communication was inconsistent at best; I often had to chase down the sales team and sales managers for updates and details into the numbers, and even then, the information provided was vague or shifted often. I had to show the rates advertised at the Volvo USA website for them to honor as they were trying to use different money factor than what was advertised for a lease. I ended up leasing the vehicle from the Bellevue location anyway after all these challenges but regret it everyday.
Unfortunately, the service department at Volvo of Seattle was not any better and managed to be even more frustrating. Volvo Cars USA called to schedule a system upgrade on my EX90 stating there is an update that needs to be downloaded to the car. They scheduled the appointment at Volvo of Seattle and confirmed that there would be a loaner car available for me. Few days before the appointment, I called the Volvo of Seattle and talked to a front desk personnel who confirmed that a loaner vehicle would be available for the service appointment. I called to confirm because i had heard about others' experience on loaner vehicles at this dealership.
When we arrived for our drop-off, we were told there were no loaners available. Instead of an apology or an attempt to rectify their mistake, the service staff adopted a defensive and condescending attitude. They treated my wife (who was dropping the car off) as if it were our fault for "failing to request one," completely ignoring the fact that I, not only requested a loaner, but pre-confirmed the availability over the phone few days prior.
What is most disheartening is the absolute lack of effort to make the situation right. There was no attempt to find a solution, offer a ride, call an uber or even acknowledge the inconvenience they caused. They are the one asking for the vehicle to be brought in for a service and they are ones acting like they are inconvenienced that we requested a loaner vehicle. It’s clear that once the sale is finalized, this brand has zero interest in maintaining a positive relationship or providing basic customer hospitality.
I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value transparency, clear communication, and being treated with respect as a customer.

I bought a 2015 BMW i3 in April 2026 at the dealership and worked with Dakota S. Dakota is fabulous. She checks in with me via text about how things are going. She has helped me fix a couple little things with the car and proven she’s smart and knowledgeable with BMWs. This combined with her uplifting personality has made the experience with Volvo Cars Seattle a pleasure. As a woman myself, I also found it so nice to have another woman to trust for my all car questions.

Disgraceful CSAT here that embodies the worst stereotypes of an auto service center. My wife had an issue with the console that they tried to breakdown into multiple separate issues to separately charge her $300 for, in addition to saying she needs an oil change that they would charge her $310 for. That's on top of the fact that she booked an appt online and then when she came in they said they had no record of and have been having issues with the website.

I called twice to get a quote to program a new key fob. Once I got a price confirmation, I then scheduled an appointment. It took close to two hours for them to program. Once done, he told me it would be twice the price. When I pushed back, he blamed the discrepancy on the “call center” and was reluctant to honor the quoted price, threatening to undo the work. He muttered under his breath that he shouldn’t have helped me when I walked in the door and said the small bill I had wasn’t worth his time and trouble. It took 20 minutes of huffy phone calls and running to the other office to get the bill adjusted. A truly terrible customer service experience. One additional star because at least the key fob got programmed.
