  Tom’s Automotive Service must be running some kind of elite diagnostic academy, because apparently just looking at your car costs $940. I brought my truck in to check the power steering, a burning oil smell, and the check engine light, Witch they estimated would be at $359. There haven’t been any performance issues at all since the light came on it drives completely fine. I drop it off, and the next day I get a call saying I already owe $940… just for diagnostics. Nothing repaired. Nothing serviced. Just inspected. They promote themselves as friendly and customer-focused, but that wasn’t the what got. John was pretty sarcastic and didn’t seem to appreciate any questions about the charges. Cassy, though, was much more professional and way easier to deal with. The best part? They didn’t even end up checking the power steering because “everything seemed fine,” but somehow I was still charged for other things instead. So if you’re looking for a place that can look at your vehicle, not fix it, and hand you a hefty bill for the experience this might be your spot!

  First time getting my dad's Jeep serviced at Tom's = VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER! They keep you informed from start to finish with the work required. Special thanks to Casey, John, Andy, and Alex. You guys are tops in my book.

  I recently moved to West Seattle and needed a place to have my car serviced rather then taking it to the dealership where I had been going. Tom's is the place! The team was awesome! Great communication, service, speedy and honest! I highly recommend them!

  The staff at Tom’s are knowledgeable and fast. What I really like is how well they communicate with customers. They just call you with updates about where they’re at and how it’s going, in language you can understand. This is an honest shop.

  Have been there once…rolled the dice based on location and limited research showing positive reviews…plus a tow guy who said he knew they were good. They diagnosed the issue correctly, discovered some other minor issues, communicated clearly and effectively, great exceed timing expectations on getting to and completing the work. I had heard from a couple people that they might be too expensive, but based on my research also charged a very fair rate for what was done (a new drive train assembly). I will definitely use them again and would certainly recommend them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
