the staff was very unprofessional. The hispanic female with curly hair was taking every question as a challenge and going out of her way to pick an argument. So unprofessional, she needs to focus more on helping people than trying to pick a fight. She also needs to understand that people often ask question because they want to be educated, and she should not take every question as challenge. She needs proper training and work expectations should be addressed to her to improve her performance and customer relation. She might also consider reaching out to her primary care provider for mental health assessment and seek treatment for her consistent aggressive behavior

I had a very bad experience at Seattle Auto Licensing. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. Their behavior felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. I waited for a long time, and when it was finally my turn, the employee spoke in a harsh and dismissive way.
I also felt that I was treated differently compared to other customers, which was very uncomfortable and disappointing. Customer service should be respectful and fair to everyone, but that was not the case here.
I would not recommend this location because of the poor attitude of the staff and the lack of basic professionalism.

Don’t tell you online what you need for licensing, and when you show up and don’t have the things they didn’t tell you were needed, the staff is rude about it.

February 06, 2026 ~ 1 PM I came in on behalf of my sister and I was told that she has to be here in-person, understandable! I came back in a few minutes later because I realized that I have documents giving me power of attorney so I can indeed help my sister on her behalf, so I came back in to the same elderly Asian lady to clarify. While I was standing in line, she said in a rude tone, “Are you the sister!?!?”. Okay, feeling funny today I see. 🙄 And once I explained myself, she told me that she was actually still in training and that her colleague would help me. Her colleagues were lovely by the way! It was empty so I wasn’t sure if she was sending me to the next available clerk or stand in line as she didn’t clarify. She then gave me directions on how to go stand in line very slowly like I was an idiot. So much attitude for no reason!! Totally unwarranted, I’m not sure why she was so upset with me….
Never coming back ever again so that I don’t have to see that lady. Yikes…

Today I renewed my tabs on line and paid in advance at 9:00a.
I went to the Seattle Auto licensing branch in Westwood Village at 11:30a to pick them up. As I do if in town.
The Hawaiian lady was assisting the pre paid tab line which was moving along.
When it was my turn I showed my receipt and she said all She needs was my license. I presented my license she proceed to file to look up my last name begins with K.
After a few minutes she asked when did you order them?
I said 9a this morning.
Then she walked back and ask is there another name on the car yes my spouse which begins with L then she found the tab then schooled me on how they file it under L next request L🤷 how would I know that.
I said thank you and no acknowledgement you welcome and just walk away 🤔 I can understand if you have a bad day but I didn’t come in with an attitude I was polite I come here because the service is good.
Took my tabs then thought about it and came back in the branch where I wanted to speak with the Mgr who I believe was
the person who had given me my tabs the Hawaiian lady.
The African American clerk asked how can she help me? I explained the Hawaiian lady had an attitude I did not understand why when I picked up my tabs.
She apologized on her behalf but I said no she did not have to do that , she saw me talking to her while she was checking her messages on her cell phone at her desk then she walk with in ear shot of our conversation.
She never walk over or asked if anything was wrong just smiled at me as I was speaking to the other clerk about her which she could hear.
There was no reason to be rude or ignorant!
Basic manners when communicating is appreciated.
It doesn’t take much to be helpful or nice.
