However, the final bill came out to $108, plus an additional $8 “waste disposal” fee, which was never clearly explained upfront. I also asked to replace both air filters. In the past, at Jiffy Lube, I was told that replacing both filters comes with a $20 discount. This time, no discount was offered or even mentioned. They also added antifreeze for $8 without asking first. For that price, you can buy an entire container of antifreeze at a store. No one explained why it was needed or asked for approval. On top of that: Nobody asked which oil I wanted — they just used the most expensive option No pricing was clearly discussed before the work was done The person who dropped off the car for me was not informed about any of these added charges either For comparison: I recently had the same service done on a Prius of the same year at another location, with oil and similar work, and the total was $132. This visit ended up being $232 — nearly $100 more, with no clear justification. This location either has very poor customer service or employees who simply don’t care about transparency or customer trust. I would strongly recommend asking for a full price breakdown before agreeing to any service — or going somewhere else.
