    CHECK THE TIRES and REFUSE UPGRADES - Sixt did not have the car I reserved and "upgraded" me to a luxury suv that had nails in the tire. Unfortunately the tire light didn't come in until I had pulled out of the rental. Their customer service person on the phone told me to take it to a tire repair and bring in receipts and I would be reimbursed. Luckily the tire place tried to patch it for free, and told me to be careful because all of the tires were bald. Despite providing all of the evidence of that to Sixt, they charged me for a $700 tire, and threatened to damage my credit if I didn't pay it.

    I rented a car to visit my 95 year old grandmother. I got a car seat for her great granddaughter to meet her. I booked at least a week in advance. Our family got Covid and we could not risk transmitting it to my grandmother as she wouldn’t survive a respiratory illness at her age and state. I tried to reschedule the car but was unable to afford the increased rates. I had no other option but to cancel. Sixt would not refund any part of my prepaid rental. They offered nothing to make up for the expense. I am a nurse married to a military veteran. Money isn’t free flowing and losing almost 200$ on a rental we couldn’t use or reschedule is a huge disappointment and the reason I will not rent from this company again. This is not a way to take care of military and first responder families. I had previously rented from this company with no issue and a lovely car. Sad it couldn’t work out the time

    Sixt has charged me for road tolls from hours before I took possession of my rental car. Despite their own documentation clearly showing that the toll was from hours before I'd even arrived at SeaTac to take possession of the car, they've charged my card and refuse to respond. Since they're ignored all of my emails over the past two week, I'm so I'll have to raise this with the Better Business Bureau and the Washington State Attorney General.
