They asked me to come in to discuss what was needed and the cost. When I arrived they asked where the car was to which I once again explained it wasn't running and I just wanted to know the cost of the service. They said they needed the car or the vin number to be able to provide the cost. Now I'm not a mechanic but in my limited knowledge to provide a quote I don't see why the car is required to be there and if the VIN satisfied their needs I'm not sure what information the VIN provides beyond make model and year which I already provided to them. And I just wanted an estimate, not like they were going to be starting the work immediately. I do know this much, the job wasn't going to be cheap and they missed out on getting the money because I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

And thats not just in Skagit or WA, Thats from Mexico-Alaska! The entire west coast! I never once had a shop be so detailed in their reports where they send you a digital inspection report/work order of whats going on! Its so easy to deal with whatever issue you are having! I took my 16' GMC SIerra 1500 ALL TERAIN to multiple shops and each shop gave me some BS run around! Do NOT ever take your vehicles to a Les Shwab! They told me my control arms were bad and ball joints and forked out $1400! For no reason! And they installed them incorrectly and never did the wheel alignment nor balanced tires! For weeks I had issues! I was discouraged and looked everywhere finally was recommended to check out Gateway Automotive in Mount Vernon, WA and it was such a breath of fresh air! Turned out to be a transmission issue with dirty old ATF fluid/bad filter, flushed the transmission 3x and resolved the problem! They are so professional and they DO know what they are doing & talking about! No BS run arounds! Every penny well spent/worth it! No stress hassel free! I can't thank Avonly enough for all her help! She was with me every step of the way! Texts, phone calls etc! And they gave me a ride home and picked me up once the truck was ready! If i could give them more than a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! THANK YOU AGAIN AVONLY & GATEWAY AUTOMOTIVE TEAM!!! -CHRIS
