- ALAlvin Lab5 days ago1.0I took my car in for an alignment. After half hour of waiting, their mechanic came in and spoke to their advisers about my car. The service adviser called and relayed the bad news. They could not align the front because my tie rods are seized. Ok fair enough, it happens. After plugging in some numbers, he returned with a quote of both tie rods plus an alignment to to close the $1000.00. I was thinking how is it seized when they are not even rusted out (local PNW car) So i walked away and took it to Leschwab on hwy 99. Car was done in about 30-40 minutes with no mention of tie rods. Car drives straight and steering wheel well-centered.. Glad I walked away and only spent $135.00
