I have never had that happen before. Due to the honesty and service, I will choose Valvoline going forward as long as that honesty remains.
- EEEmApr 2, 20261.0I have been using Valvoline for my oil changes for a few years now, and this is the first time that I did not like the service I received. They were not as friendly and skipped a lot of the service checks that I know that they do. Also, there was a issue this time with my check engine light coming on, immediately after my oil change. Of course, I took it right back and showed the technician and explained that this vehicle does not have any lights on. He was very nonchalant, as if I were lying, and very dismissive of my concern. So, I told him that I would take it to Auto Zone to have the engine light codes read and that I would be right back. The code that came up was the oil pressure light switch. I am not mechanically inclined, but I gave them the printout and asked for the manager. He did not answer the question but said he would check it out again. Long story short, he told there was a number on my receipt for the corporate office but the oil pressure switch was not anywhere near the work they did for my vehicle. My light ended up going off after this check, fortunately. But this is a reminder to me that every Valvoline is not the same. And the treatment I received, as if I was lying, was very frustrating. Especially since I literally have spent a lot of money and time doing business with this company. Thanks for your time and the opportunity to tell my experience!
