- MBMike BergerSep 12, 20191.0The people are nice, but the warranty change out is a joke! 3 weeks ago I bought a Duralast Alternator for my 2010 F150. The first one I got had a bent lip on the poly itself. So they ordered another one. (They don't carry the one for my truck instock) special order. So I get that one and put it in. It lasts 3 weeks. Today I am driving and my battery icon start flashing in the truck. I get it home test the voltage and its only putting out 10.5 volts. So I call them and ask them to order a replacement one. They tell me that I have to come in in person to get it ordered. I asked them why that is. I am in there computer. They said that is the rules. I told them I didn't want to drive the truck anymore because if it goes out I will have to get it towed. I only have the one car right now. They said those are the rules. So I drive it up there and they order a new one. On the way home it starts shutting everything down. I made it to the entrance to my development and it shut off. Had to push it through the development to my house. With help of course. Glad it didn't need to be towed., but what a joke.In my opinion if this is the way it is tell me that before I decide to go with your product. Maybe I should have spent the extra to go OEM. Beware before you buy!
