    I rented a vehicle to drive my family to Austin Texas as we were being relocated for work. When I arrived, the class of vehicle I reserved was not available, which I understand, but the SUV they gave me instead wound up having a blinking check engine light on it, and the store did absolutely nothing to get me into a safe vehicle to make my 1600 mile drive in. They set an appointment for me to come in and swap the vehicle out, which when I got there they told me they had nothing available and suggested I contact other Enterprise locations to see if they would help. No offer to help look or locate a vehicle, just a "good luck". I would up driving over an hour out of my way to a large airport location, who I was told could help, only to find out when I arrived that they would not, and I was sent away still with the blinking check engine light. Supposedly the area manager got involved and said he found an available vehicle for me, but 5 minutes into heading to that location, I was told don't go there, there is nothing available. To sum up, I would up having to drive the missfiring SUV all the way from Winchester VA to Austin TX, with 0 help from Enterprise at all. Will not be renting from them again.

    I travel monthly, at least, and rent quite a few vehicles from Enterprise. The last several rentals from them have been problematic if I even got a vehicle at all. They never have the class of vehicle in stock that I reserved and the vehicles are dirty when picked up because they're trying to flip them as fast as they can. The one I'm in right now which I had to drive to front Royal to pick up because their inventory was incorrect... Had to have the wipers replaced as soon as I got to my destination. I've had good support from their office folks before, but lately they have been testy and rude themselves, making it sound like it was a privilege that they even had a vehicle to give me. Never mind the fact that I paid and reserved for a vehicle that should have been sitting there until I picked it up. I'm not a fan of Hertz... But they are becoming a better option. *** Update - The reply by "Drew" below is a link to Enterprise's basic "FAQ" and Web based help. Absolutely no resolution to my issues above. I would have expected better... but I guess no more. Hertz, Here is your opportunity. ***

    Almost everyone at the Winchester office was no help what so ever and very rude. I started back in the summer trying to book a 15 passenger van they had stated that they had a recall and to try again in another month. I had eventually booked a eight passenger vehicle was told that I could use my bank card for anything but a 15 passenger van but then when they had called three days prior to my trip was informed that for that vehicle my bank card would not work either. I did book a minivan and was told that I could bring my checkbook for proof of residency and my electric bill on arrival at the place they had informed me that my checkbook would not work and the minivan was not booked and they also did not have one on site. So I had to go with a different vehicle and I had to look up extra stuff online to make them satisfied on my address. One nice person in the whole place finally helped me get a vehicle and I am so glad it is all over with!
