- CMColin MorganNov 13, 20252.02nd times in a row within the last few months that I have ordered something via the app that says it will be ready within 30 minutes and it's not. First time was just 1 battery and over an hour later I got to the store and they had to go pick the battery off the shelf for the order. Today the 2nd time I ordered light bulbs and an hour and a half after I placed the order I went into the store and there was no one there guy was just standing at the counter. Told him I had a pickup and he looks and says oh no one has picked it yet... so an hour and a half after I placed and order that is supposed to be ready in 30 and no one has even begun to pick it and is just standing around. He had to go grab the 6 bulbs I ordered while me and a customer that walked in behind me waited.

It requires professional installation due to removing several components to reach the battery. I came to Advance Auto Parts and I found professionals. I can live with that EXCEPT the date on the battery is 10/22 6 months old already. Cash register receipt is only one you get. Got the battery home and I had to put it on a charger. It was dead. I appreciate your response in a timely manner. My main concern that you didn't address. A dead 6 month old battery with a 1 year warranty . Yes I would shop this store again. I would be more cautious as to my purchase.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
