I had a great experience purchasing a pre-owned vehicle from Mercedes-Benz of Virginia Beach. I was buying somewhat last-minute and traveling from Washington, DC so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but the entire process ended up being smooth, efficient, and relatively stress-free.
My sales rep, Maurice, was fantastic to work with. He was responsive, professional, and very accommodating given my situation. He answered all of my questions beforehand and was even able to FaceTime to show me the vehicle I was interested in. When I arrived after making the drive down, the process moved quickly so I could get back on the road. They even went the extra mile by helping coordinate the return of my rental car, which made a huge difference.
Buying a car on short notice, especially from out of town, can be stressful—but they made it easy. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone, especially if you’re coming from out of the area. Great experience all around.

First let me say I had the best experience ever with Maurice ever!
He was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in very understanding about my needs as far as what I was looking for in a luxury vehicle went over everything about the vehicle wasn’t all over the place well organized very professional good customer service good energy I was able to laugh and joke with him just made the buying experience and decision so much better and easier if you looking to buy your luxury vehicle ask for Maurice you won’t be disappointed, He also was my personal google cause I was asking him about every little thing in my vehicle and he knew everything like he made the vehicle himself I love a person who knows their job well that goes along way I really appreciate you making my car buying experience the Best you are a great asset to your company..
You’re the best

We recently visited Mercedes-Benz Virginia Beach and had a less-than-ideal experience with the 2025 Salesperson of the Year. Based on that recognition, we expected a high level of professionalism, engagement, and customer care--but that was not our experience.
Although we were waiting specifically to work with him, he was not particularly welcoming or attentive. He asked very few questions and seemed to rely on us to lead the interaction, rather than guiding us through the process. At one point, it felt as though his attention shifted elsewhere when another couple arrived for a test drive.
In contrast, other members of the sales team were warm, engaging, and made us feel acknowledged while we waited. Their approach highlighted what was noticeably missing from our direct interaction with Tory.
Ultimately, the experience made our decision easy. We chose to take our business elsewhere and purchased a 2026 BMW X6 from Checkered Flag BMW. Ironically, BMW's 2025 Salesperson of the Year actually lived up to the title--professional, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused.
Recognition should reflect the customer experience. Unfortunately, this one did not.
FOLLOW UP RESPONSE TO THE OWNERSHIP TEAM'S RESPONSE:
Thank you for taking the time to respond--I truly appreciate the acknowledgment.
The reason we chose to continue browsing was because of the lack of engagement. He appeared to be preoccupied we assume because the other client was there looking at the car, they eventually test drove. We wanted the same energy. All Tory did for us was simply show us where the GLE was on the showroom floor which we had already seen while waiting for him. Part of fact finding is educating clients about your product, not just showing it to us... but actually educating us to help us make a decision. He did not offer to sit in the car with us, talk about its features with us, offer to test drive it, nothing. When we left your dealership, we didn't know anything more about the GLE than what we knew before we arrived. First impressions matter, and that initial interaction plays a role in whether a customer moves forward.
We love Mercedes and what the brand represents, and I'm hopeful we will consider purchasing one in the future. My feedback is simply to ensure the in-person experience matches the level of excellence the brand is known for.
Enjoy the day ahead.

ALL CUSTOMERS NEED TO BEWARE OF HOW THESE SERVICE TECHS DRIVE YOUR VEHICLES!!! This is one of the reasons why we installed multiple cameras on our vehicle. You can’t trust anyone. Had he not shifted everything in the back of our Sprinter, I would’ve never looked for and seen this video. We’re not happy with customer service either… their attitude is terrible first thing in the morning!! Customer service should be top priority with the amount of money you spend on the vehicle, let alone for the expensive service and maintenance that’s needed. I expect them to drive customers vehicles with a lot more respect than we experienced. I feel like they’re trying to destroy my suspension along with many other things!!! Do better, hire better… someone is always watching and you NEVER know who has cameras… we’ve been to many other Mercedes dealerships across the US with exceptional service and experience. Charles Barker dealership is at the very bottom of the list and needs to know they need to do way better in areas of customer service… Without the customers, you wouldn’t be in business!!!

I understand owning a Mercedes come with the expectation of paying a little more for service. Yesterday I broke the fuel door of of my GLC300. I went to Mercedes and they wanted to charge me $689.90 for the repair. The part was $206.00 and the rest was labor. They said it's two hours of labor. I told them I just saw a video and it took the guy about 5 minutes. I ended up just buying the part and watched the video again and installed it in less than 20 minutes. I've never done it before and it was pretty easy. I can imagine the people at Mercedes would probably take 5 minutes then leave the car parked for 2 hours before turning it back over to me. $469.90 for labor for a 5 minute job it just criminal.
I see I got a response from Mercedes they are trying to make it out like they did me a favor for not charging me for a diagnostic check. First of all that never took place, I talked with Terrance, I showed him what broke and he looked up the part. He then told me the price for everything so I decided to buy the part and install it myself.
