The Hall FreshStart Program is designed to assist people who have had previous credit blemishes including bankruptcy, repossession, divorce or any other unforeseen credit issues and want to restore their credit. We look forward to serving you!
Horrible! This isn’t a second chance program, they get you in there just to run your credit, never let you test drive a car, pretend they’re helping you, then tell u they can’t help you. I was promised a $50 gift card if I came in, but when I mentioned it I was told they didn’t know what I was talking about. I never saw any cars never even looked in one. I emailed the General Manager but didn’t get a response. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, THIS FRESHSTART PROGRAM IS A SCAM AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND SKETCHY. Go to DAN the Man!

***READ THIS BEFORE GOING INTO THE DEALERSHIP OR REACHING OUT TO THEM FOR AN INQUIRY!***
If I could give negative stars I would, please read the whole review to understand my frustrations. I won’t mention names because I don’t feel like it’s specific individuals at the dealership that’s the issue the dealership as a whole.
I knew going in my situation was a tough one. No cash to put down, hefty amount of negative equity on a high mileage car and a less than favorable credit score.0
Made an appointment for Saturday 7/20/2024 at 5:00 PM with specific person (text message said it would be with the person that i talked to on the phone) because they made it seems like they were able to do something for me in the situation I was in.
When my wife, son and I walked in, they essentially threw us in a cubicle with a person that didn’t seem like they were ready to be with a potential buyer.
The whole process is completely backwards. They make you give all your information, to send to lenders and then they structure a deal on a vehicle they won’t let you look at until you’re approved because they “don’t want you to fall in love with the vehicle if you’re not approved” (and I quote the saleswoman verbatim). I’m not gonna want to get approved on a car if I don’t look at it, drive it and overall like the make/model.
When they said they were structuring a deal, the saleswoman mentioned a specific make/model but was unsure of the year and mileage. When I asked to see the vehicle (so I could stop them if it wasn’t worth running the numbers) she said “let me talk to my manager” and came back asking for more info on my current vehicle (pay off quote from current lender and per diem for interest accrual) and when I gave the info I asked AT LEAST 5 more times to see aforementioned SUV.
I asked what they were going to give me for my potential trade-in and they couldn’t give a straight answer. It seemed like every cupcake of a question I gave the salesperson, they had to go ask their boss for the answer (I’m going to chock it up to inexperience but I also feel like they make the most experienced salesperson “talk to the boss” about the questions raised by the customer).
After 2 and a half almost 3 hours of being on the lot they told me they’d have to call my lender directly to ask for a ”dealership payoff”. So, my family and I left the dealership incredibly frustrated and disappointed because we essentially wasted our time.
Fast forward to 7/22/2024, one of the managers reaches out to see why I didn’t solidify a deal on Saturday and what do we need to do so we can get something done. I informed him of the debacle that happened when I was at the dealership and he said he’d get to the bottom of why I was sent home empty-handed.
He called back 2.5ish hours later to tell me the trade-in value and the reason it was so low is because of a “odometer discrepancy” on the CarFax from 2019. I bought the car in 2022 from a dealership in Suffolk and the never mentioned anything about the discrepancy.
I commend the manager for trying to remedy the kerfuffle that ensued but it seemed like they just threw a random “issue” at me to justify their shortcomings and incompetency.
If you feel like being treated like a number or a dollar sign then this is your place but if you want a pleasurable experience, run away fast and far.

Healing from surgery and they still had me come in for an approval that was NOT valid. Left without a vehicle. Biggest waste of time recently especially when you add in the 6 hour round trip bus ride.

My recent visit to Hall Freshstart Program left me with a mix of emotions, ranging from initial excitement to eventual disappointment. As a 21-year-old woman navigating a car dealership solo for the first time, I was hopeful for a positive experience, especially when eyeing a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek.
First and foremost, my salesman Sydney Sabir deserves commendation for his excellent assistance. He was personable, walked me through the Subaru, and accompanied me on a test drive, making my first car-buying process comfortable and enjoyable.
Negotiations, however, took an unexpected turn. The listed price for the Subaru was $21,300, but after discussions with Mr. Sabir and Manager Marcus Jones, I agreed to a deal where I would sell my 2016 Chevrolet Camaro for $26,500 and acquire the Subaru (including taxes) for $23,160.26. The process was relatively smooth, but the paperwork left much to be desired. I left with only the carfax on the Subaru, and my parents later informed me that I should have received more comprehensive documentation.
The most significant hiccup came after the sale. Despite signing a bill of sale indicating I would receive $3,339.74, I received a voicemail from Marcus Jones stating otherwise. After some back-and-forth and involving my parents, I agreed to return the next day to reverse the deal. A subsequent call from Director Steve Swift clarified the misunderstanding, and the dealership honored the original agreement with profuse apologies.
Unfortunately, the ordeal didn't end there. Three weeks after acquiring the car, I had to follow up on the promised refund. A prompt response from Director Stephen Swift indicated that the check was ready the next day, dated January 19. This left me questioning whether the check would have been issued had I not inquired.
Despite the initial positive impression and Sydney Sabir's excellent service, the overall experience at Hall Freshstart Program fell short. The miscommunications and additional steps needed to rectify issues left a lasting negative impression. While the dealership eventually honored the agreement, the overall lack of transparency and additional hassles make it hard for me to recommend this establishment. If given the chance to go back in time, knowing what I know now, I would likely choose a different dealership for my car purchase.
