Frequently Asked Questions About River Wash Car Wash & Lube
What should I do when I arrive?
Upon arrival, proceed to the wash bay line or follow the attendant's directions. Then, adhere to these steps: select a wash with an attendant, leave your key with your vehicle, unlock all doors, ensure all windows and sunroof are closed, deactivate automatic wipers, secure or remove valuables, and inform the attendant if your trunk requires vacuuming.
Will you vacuum my trunk?
We do offer trunk vacuuming services. As the trunk is a secured area, please inform the service advisor during check-in. They will request you to open your trunk, allowing our team to vacuum it. Please note that there is an additional charge for trunk, hatch, or boot vacuuming.
Will my bug shield/aftermarket additions be safe?
We cannot guarantee the safety of aftermarket plastic accessories. While most bug shields withstand the washing process without issue, problems may arise if the shield has pre-existing damage from rock chips, stress cracks near installation screws, or if it's made from low-quality plastic. For optimal durability, we recommend bug shields made from Lexan, such as those produced by Lund or Deflecta-Shield.
Is the wash safe for newly painted cars?
Our wash is generally safe for newly painted vehicles as we utilize cloth wash materials and mild cleaning agents. However, it's crucial to allow sufficient time for the paint to cure before washing. We advise consulting your body shop for specific curing times. Typically, paint on newly manufactured vehicles is fully cured prior to delivery.
Will a cracked windshield be safe in the wash?
A cracked windshield may not always be safe in our wash. Even minor rock chips can compromise the integrity of the glass, making it more susceptible to temperature changes. While you may choose to wash your vehicle with windshield damage, be aware that existing cracks or chips could potentially expand. For safety and optimal visibility, we recommend repairing or replacing a damaged windshield promptly.
Is your car wash safe for convertibles or soft-top vehicles?
Our car wash is designed to accommodate convertibles and soft-top vehicles. However, please be aware that we cannot assume responsibility for any damage resulting from pre-existing rips, tears, or improper sealing on the vehicle.
Are your products and chemicals safe for my car's finish?
Our car wash utilizes premium-grade chemicals formulated with a range of pH solutions. These products are specifically designed to effectively clean your vehicle while ensuring the safety of your car's finish.
