I had a great experience at Express Oil Change!! Mr. Marvin Leathers was exceptional. He made my experience super easy for my first time getting an oil change by myself. He even took the time to show me how to read the oil on the stick. I’ll definitely be back.

Super quick, Jameel was friendly as knowledgeable about the services toyota recommends done during the mileage I was at. I did my research before hand and he was spot on with all of it. He went over what the services does for the car and notified me everything else on my vehicle was good. I appreciate the quickness and professionalism he had. Thanks Jameel.

This isn’t my first time at this shop. I Driving to Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers and hearing the sound of a bell ding as soon as you enter the parking lot and all of a sudden you see someone heading towards your car to attend to you, they made me feel as if I’m entering a five star hotel but it’s a car garage instead, I guess it’s a car hotel lol. From the moment I drove up then to the check in desk, I was treated with professional care and made me feel as if I was the only person in the shop even though the shop was super busy. Lee never ever sway me for any unnecessary work, this place is honest and care about your safety. Thank you Lee and staff for all you do for our community.

Made an appointment online for an oil change and inspection. I’ve only been here once for an inspection a few years ago and I didn’t know whether I should pull up to the oil change bay or go inside and check in. I went inside so I wouldn’t do anything incorrectly and the guy told me to get my oil changed first and then they would take my car from me so I could wait. Pulled into the bay and got my oil change and the guy who helped me was nice and got the job done. He had me pay so I thought that they would take my car afterwards and then I would pay separately for my inspection. He opened the bay door for me and motioned me to come out, so I assumed that I could just park in the front, go inside, and give them my keys for the inspection. I went inside and told a different worker than before, the service manager named Lee, that I just got an oil change but still needed my inspection and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. He was like “well you already checked out so we’re going to have to check you back in,” all while acting annoyed. I was like “oh sorry, I didn’t know what to do, no one told me where to drive” and he said “well we’re the same place ma’am” (implying that he thought I didn’t know that the building obviously connected to the oil change bay is the same business where I’m getting my inspection…) acting like I was stupid and being very passive aggressive. He gave me a paper to fill out to check back in and got annoyed again when I started filling out the whole thing and said they only needed my name and phone number. I guess I was confused because no one told me how the process was. The tech doing my oil change didn’t say anything about my inspection and the guy at the front desk who I initially talked to (a different guy who was actually nice) just told me that they would take my car after the oil change. This is partly on me since I did the wrong thing but I wasn’t informed on what I had to do and I assumed they didn’t do the inspections in the oil change bay. My expectation was that when you make an appointment, the technician knows what they’re working on and what I’m there for, especially when I already talked to the guy at the front desk and told him I was here for an appointment. I usually go to the Subaru place on Bridge Road and they just take your car rather than you being in your car when doing the oil change, so I wasn’t sure how it was supposed to go. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience there as well so I have to find a new place to go for my car. I didn’t have any issues during my past inspection experience, but my boyfriend had an inspection here and they failed him multiple times for a different issue each time. They only told him about each issue after he kept on failing (first they said brake pads after his first fail, he brought it back then they said his rear tail light had issues and failed him again). He finally took his car to Mike Duman and they passed him. I should’ve just said something to the tech doing my oil change, but the way that Lee talked to me over a misunderstanding was unacceptable. I don’t know if it was because I am young or because I am a woman or if he was just frustrated, but it honestly made me cry because I felt so embarrassed and disrespected (I know it’s stupid, but I’ve been going through a lot and this just tipped me over the edge). I work customer service as well and I get that there’s times where you can be frustrated at customers, but it seemed like such a little issue and I don’t believe I should’ve been talked down like that, ESPECIALLY by a MANAGER who is expected to be respectful and professional. I wasn’t even being rude at all either. I appreciate the other guy who was at the front desk and the guy who did my oil change, I didn’t catch their names but they were respectful and friendly. Although they did get both my inspection and oil change done, I do not believe that the service manager, Lee, is professional. Some people here are nice, but go here at your own risk. I’m honestly done with this place after my experience today.
