Everytime I have shopped here the staff have always been very helpful, knowledgable and kind. Yesterday Jeremy went above and beyond to help me, not only loaning me tools I needed, but he even brought me some paper towles because I was sweating from the heat. The total time I was at the store getting the job done, was about 2 hours and Jeremy was there every step of the way, helping me with purchases, and a warranty. I was SO impressed by this young man that I stopped at the store today to let his manager know what a great employee Jeremy is. This kid is employee of the month material, and you all are lucky to have him. Thank you Jeremy, you are an all star, kind, knowledgable and professional employee!! Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
