  Inconsiderate. Destructive. Lazy. Dangerous. I have used Safelite every time I've needed an auto glass replacement in the past. Going forward I will definitely explore other options. Scheduling was easy as usual and tech showed up on time. Tech stated it would take 45 minutes. Great! About an hour later I went over to check on their progress. The windshield shattered upon removal and threw glass shards ALL over the inside of the vehicle. Additionally, the tech said they were in a spare truck and they didn't have a vacuum. No big deal, I thought. I scheduled the appointment to take place at my place of employment. Which just so happen to have two industrial vacuums for cleaning cars. Tech pulled my vehicle over to the vacuums and spent all of about 5 minutes trying to the glass out. When the tech said they were done I open the 2 passenger doors. There was glass EVERYWHERE! Not tiny specs here and there. Large dangerous shards of glass on the front seats, carpet, dash, door handles, cup holders, and last but not least, MY CHILD SEATS. I showed this to the tech. They stated "I got as much as I could". Pointing to the glass all over the car seats I explained that that's where my kids sit. Tech didn't bat an eyelash and asked if I wanted to know about the warranty... Whatever, I thought listed to what the tech had to say and they left. I cleaned the car and that was that, or so I thought. Several days later it rains and I discovered that not only did this "professional " auto glass installation leave dangerous broken glass ALL over my car for me to clean up it also included a broken wiper arm on the driver's side. Also, dangerous. The wiper arm just starts flopping this way and that. Halfway off the windshield in a thunderstorms after I picked my kids up from school. Breaking the windshield when removing. Not a big deal. It had a baseball size place in it from a rock. Not even halfway attempting to clean up the broken glass. Inconsiderate and lazy to say the least. Breaking the wiper and not informing me. Destructive and dangerous. Abvouisly, would have given zero stars if that were an option.

  What a scam!!!! I had a minuscule crack in my windshield and wanted it to be fixed - cosmetically. Nothing was leaking, no problems with it at all so I paid for them to come out and fix it. John was very kind but when I tell you my millimeter crack turned into over 9” in damage. Now my windshield needs replaced. I was driving it to the shop and it cracked even more when I was driving it. Don’t “repair” Something you can’t. Then when I called, they said they could replace the windshield but they wouldn’t be able to calibrate the camera. What a joke!!! Go somewhere else~ I could’ve done better with a kit from Walmart. Here’s my before versus after of my 170$ “repair”.

  Windshield on my car was damaged due to a small gravel. Variations in temperature caused the Crack to spread across the Windshield. I contacted my insurance company to file a claim. They recommended Safelite. The appointment was easy to make. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a friendly associate. The waiting area was clean and maintained. The associate that replaced my Windshield was well trained and knew what he was doing. Safelite has updated modern equipment to recalibrate the electronics associated with my cars crash avoidance system. The repair was correct the first time. Explanation and receipts of the repairs , along with certification of recalibration were sent to my email. A very well organized business. Highly recommended.

  TERRIBLE. Literally think about how bad the service was everyday because my window now makes the most annoying noise ever and i cant figure out why. Theres tons of glass still inside the door and every time i open it a random piece of glass falls. first guy that came in was so bad that he couldnt even change the window. second dude fixed what the first broke but still not a nice service. deff do not recommend.

  Safelite, Roanoke, Va has been incredibly disappointing. They never informed me that my March 24, 2026 appointment to have my vehicle glass replaced would be delayed because they couldn’t get the glass. Ethan even lied to his manager, claiming he called me which he absolutely did not. I’ve now been without a vehicle for two days. They also admit they have no idea when the window can actually be fixed because there’s no ETA for the glass, yet they kept sending me daily reminders to drop my vehicle off leading up to the appointment. Completely unacceptable. This is a terrible company.
