So many things were terrible about my most recent car service at Sheehy. 1. The picked up my car as part of their valet servicing. The repairs & 40k servicing took 3 days. I can understand it taking that long, but they told me it will be return later that same day. The 2nd day it was there, nothing was done & it just sat there while they waiting for the part. I didn’t have a vehicle during that time. They 2. When they returned it, the car had 4 miles to empty. The nearest gas station to me is a 4 miles away. I don’t expect them to fill up my tank, but at least put a few ounces in so I am not at risk of running out of gas. No one should have to risk being out of gas literally minutes after having the car serviced. It was ridiculous. 3. 3 days after getting my car back a transmission light goes on. 4. They broke my windshield & tried to cover it up. I looked at the oil change sticker they put on the car & it is covering a chip in my windshield that wasn’t there prior. These people just put a sticker over it. I won’t be going back to them.

I got a pre-owned 2020 ford escape and I love it! Carlos was my salesman and he was awesome and so was the finance guy (can’t remember his name) but they were great the process went fast and I also got to take the car home with dealer tags before I actually got the car which was great because I was able to test the car out a bit to make sure it was the right fit for me. I am soo sooo happy and love my car and I’m strictly a dodge RAM girl BUT.. I’m loving my new car as a first time car owner :) for anyone wanting to get a car please check in with Carlos!

I called on a Thursday about the vehicle that I was interested in and spoke with Xavier Bradford about the vehicle . I gave him my price for the vehicle out the door and he said he would call back after he checked with his manager. So I called him back and he apologized for not calling me back and gave me a price for the vehicle that I was interested in. I told him that is was to much for me . So the following day he called me back with a totally different deal and price and I was happy with the new deal so I went down on Saturday and checked the vehicle out and was happy with it. So I did purchase the vehicle from Sheehy Ford of Richmond on Saturday. Thanks Xavier Bradford

I brought my car here last year to repair a recall. They had to replace my engine and my car was in the shop for 5 months. When they told me my car was ready, in January, I was told that they had to replace a thermostat on the engine they just put in, per the recall, and that it would cost $4000.00 even. I had a family member go speak to them and the $4000.00 debt magically was covered by ford. I also told them that there was an alert in the MyFord app that said there was a fault in the charging system, which I was told not to worry about. Fast forward 7 months later, my engine light comes on and I take it back to them to get looked at. I told them what the alerts were from the MyFord app and that the radio was not working correctly in my car. He attempted to charge my for the diagnostic for my engine light and the radio not working. They told me my warranty was no longer valid when I asked what did it cover. I then told him just do the diagnostic for the engine light. They did a diagnostic and reset something in my car and said it was fixed. Nicholas Simmons, the agent I was working with both times I brought my car to sheehy, told me that my car was working correctly and they would not charge me for the diagnostic because he didn’t want me to feel “ripped off”. The next day my engine light is still on. I take my car to Richmond Lincoln Ford, I told them what I went through with sheehy. They apologized and they reopen my recall to make sure sheehy did the correct process and then did a diagnostic. My alternator needed to be replaced, which was $1700 in repairs and the warranty, which was still active, covered most of the cost. The failing alternator was also the cause of the radio and electrical issues. I got my car back from Richmond Lincoln Ford today and everything is working correctly. I would never recommend Sheehy to anyone. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

I do not throw this rating out there lightly. I’ve had a Toyota for 10 years and have always had great service with them. As of last year I made the switch to Ford and their service department has been supremely frustrating since my purchase. I brought my car in for a oil chance and service where they conduct a “multi point inspection” on the vehicle. Everything seemed to be fine until a couple weeks later when I woke up to a dead battery. I called up service and someone from a desk was able to remotely check on the status on my vehicle and tell me my battery was dead but bringing it directly into a the shop for service… apparently no one could figure out. I had another shop tell me that my vehicle was out of alignment which Ford tried to tell me it wasn’t until they checked. Turns out it was. My mirror assembly needed to be replaced. I call up the warranty protection company (mind you this service was purchased through Ford at Koons in Silver Spring Md where I bought the vehicle) and they told me it would be covered. It took 3 days of calls and messages to their service department (not a coordinator) for them to contact me to verify that they would accept the coverage and hear fully about what needed to happen with my vehicle. So I made the appointment for about a week later for the replacement. When I showed up I’m told that no part was preordered and they have to verify with the warranty company to approve the replacement and that I have been going through this process wrong. So their service department withholding information on how a process is supposed to go and then telling me I’m the problem when I show up is top trier service after I’ve already coordinated with both parties. Stick with Toyota. This will be the last Ford I’ll ever have.
