- EMEddie McKelligettMar 18, 20265.0Had the battery in my 2019 Honda CRV replaced today by Carroll. He was fast, effective, and considerate of the warranty on it to make sure I got any money back if I was owed any from the old battery from Midas. He helped me understand the various things he was doing and was overall an excellent representative of customer service at Advance Auto Parts. Will be coming back!
- BBBrad BarrettMar 18, 20261.0Had a really disappointing experience here at Advance Auto Parts. I went in because my check engine light was on. There were zero customers in the store and a few employees and it still seemed like I was bothering them. One guy handed me the check engine device and said that he couldn't help me and I had to do it myself. That was fine and I got the code and when I walked back in to the store to ask about it he said they wouldn't be able to help me. Didn't even ask what the code was or what the issue was and could not have possibly known if they could have in fact helped me. Just felt completely ignored and I will never go back to this or any other store of this brand. Highly advise you to do the same. Disgraceful

Didn't want to risk it so I stopped by Advanced Auto Parts and was greeted by Carroll as I walked in and asked if I needed help. I told him I need to replace my battery and he immediately got his tools and walked outside with me. He inspected the battery and explained everything to me as he was making his inspections. Overall had probably the best experience I've ever had with any auto parts store. Will be coming back here looking for Carroll from here on out

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
