Jared find necessary tools and even helped me to organize call for towing my car to dealership. Jared is a professional in automotive area! Thanks to him I love Advance Auto Parts and always prefer this network to the others!
- DSDan SchrieverNov 22, 20255.0Absolutely Outstanding Service! I had an incredible experience at this auto parts store this week. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a new battery here for my backup generator. The battery itself was great—but I ended up ruining it by letting it go completely dead in the generator. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t bring it back to life, so I took it back to the store to have it tested and to confirm that I probably wrecked it. The store manager helped me personally. He tested the battery right in front of me, and after about a minute he couldn’t get any reading at all. I explained that the damage was almost certainly my fault. Without hesitation, he grabbed a brand-new battery and said, “Doesn’t matter—I want you to be happy.” And he didn’t stop there. On my way to check out, I grabbed a new installation kit since I figured I’d need to buy another one. When I pulled out my credit card, he stopped me and said, “No, no, no—you already paid for that once. Just take it.” I was honestly blown away. In a world where customer service often feels like an afterthought, this manager and his team went above and beyond in every possible way. Friendly, honest, generous, and truly committed to customer satisfaction. I can’t recommend this place enough. Five stars all the way!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
