- MGMadalyn GodfreyDec 29, 20251.0Not the greatest autozone experience. Our windshield wipers gave out during a downpour so we stopped at this one for assistance. Even while entering, it seemed like the person, Spencer, at the cash register was apathetic to even working. We told him our situation, that we were unsure of what wipers to buy. He plugged in our car information and handed us wipers. We asked if he would verify these were the correct wipers and if he would come help install. He said no to verification and that he was too busy to install. The two of us in the car were the only two customers inside the building. After 20min of trying to figure out how to put on the new wipers, we go back inside to ask for assistance in verifying these were the correct wipers. Spencer refused to help and said the wipers would work with the vehicle. After 20 more minutes of trying to put on the new wipers, it became clear that the wipers given to us did not seem to be correct. We go back inside and there is a new cashier working, Axel. Axel took one look at the blade and said they were not the right blade. Axel was super friendly and extremely helpful. He gave us the correct wipers which were half the price of what was sold to us by Spencer. Axel turnaround a screen that displayed all the wipers available for our car. To our dismay the wipers that Spencer told us that were not available (and significantly a lot cheaper), were available and in stock. Spencer not only sold us the most expensive wipers without verifying they were correct for our car, but also withheld information of cheaper wipers available. Axel on the other hand was an absolute gem. Walking through every step of the process, verifying the wipers and showing exactly how they were to be verified. Additionally, Axel made sure that we were refunded for the first purchase of the wrong unverified wipers. What ended up being 40+ min delay to a 2 hour trip, could have easily been a 5 minute detour all because of Spencer refusing to verify the windshield wipers when asked. But highly recommend going to see Axel! Absolute gem, very knowledgeable, very helpful and made sure we got back on the road! Would give 0 stars but giving 1 because Axel was great!
