I am giving one start because giving at least o e stars is a google requirement. I have been a loyal customer at Jack's for quite some time now. When I purchased my sons car used, I brought it to jacks to take care of every time something went wrong or even seemed off- pre "check engine light" because I want to make sure that the vehicle is safe for my child. We purchased this vehicle from a dealership I July so not like we have had it along time. We had serlveral services done at jack, over the course of 2025 - a couple sensor replacements etc. Car stalled, we immediatly had it towed to them in December. They looked at it and said there was no oil in the car when it got there- gave it oil change and told me it had an engine knock. No check engine lights were on. I had the oil replaced at Thanksgiving so it was odd that there saying it came off the tow truck with no oil. We get the car home and drive it one day and a check engine light comes on. Reading the light at auto zone it said a cylinder 2 misfire . Brought it back tk them in Jan and they said hey it needs a new engine. Ok- we paid $4000 for a new engine. Got the car back in Feb drove it home and parked itnkn the driveway and when we woke up there were quarts of oil on the ground under the car. We towed it back to them they kept it for a day and told us it was fixed. Drove it that night (like 3 miles) and the check engine light came on. Cylinder 2 misfire. What! Thats why you said the engine needed to be replaced kn the first place! We brought it back the next day and they said they replaced plug and wire and put injector cleaner in it. Brought it home and check engine light came on- cylinder 2 misfire. We brought it back and they kept it for a few days and they said they had to change the injector, it was good to go. We didnt even make it 3 blocks to our house before the check engine light came on again- cylinder 2 misfire so we brought it back and they kept it for weeks without saying anything. I went to the shop to see what the deal was and they said an electrician was comming to look at it that week they would call me. Waited days and my son got a call that they needed to replace the engine again it would be 2 weeks. We have heard nothing since then. We drive my my cute little purple car sitting there all sad on the lot every day with no idea what is going on. I call the shop and never get an answer. I have had tk pay $1200 a month for a vehicle for my son to drive while his car is in the shop, I have paid for diagnostic services and oil change to the tune of $300 in december- and repaid for same services I. January to diagnosed a cylinder 2 misfire that even after an engine replacement still exists. I have paid to tow my car to them multiple times not because it didnt run but to prevent major damage when something seemed wrong and I have paid over $4000 for an engine replacement that did NOT fix the problem. NO communication from the shop about what is going on - my vehicle just sits there pending "warrently repair" amd feels like it get looks at when they dont have other work, since I have already paid for my service. Its seems like I did not need a new engine for a cylinder 2 misfire in the first place, since replacing the engine did not fix my problem. I am beyond disappointed and broke at this point. I dont have my sons car or the thousands of dollars I have paid for repairs and engine replacement and im about out of money to pay for a car for him to drive at $1200 a month for 3 months. I am a cancer patient - which they knew- i have had several surgeries and conversations with them from the hospital to authorize repairs on his car. Its feels like they have taken complete advantage of me. I have always been nice, understanding and willing to pay for repairs on his vehicle because he loves it but my patience has worn thin at this point. Its April and I still dont have the car..

Everyone here was super nice and worked with my cars warranty when I had so much trouble finding a mechanic who had even heard of the warranty that I have on my VW! Work was reasonably priced and done quickly. It's hard to find a good ol local mechanic that does quality work so I'm glad I found Jack!

I will keep this review to the facts. I took my vehicle in to be assessed, identifying that my vehicle made (makes) an undeniable rattling sound when the vehicle would start and also while the vehicle was being driven. After the assessment, Jack's auto repair quoted me a cost, and I agreed to that cost. Less than a month after picking up my vehicle, the same rattling had returned. I then took my vehicle in and let them know that I was experiencing the same issue (rattling when I'd press the accelerator). A week later, I'd called for an update to which I was "assured" that after the vehicle had been driven by technicians "both on the highway and on business streets that the sound could not be reproduced nor witnessed" (almost verbatim) while they drove it. I picked up the vehicle only to hear the rattling within less than 5 minutes of leaving the lot. Even upon bringing the vehicle back, I was able to witness the technician actually hear the actual noise that I brought my vehicle in for initially. After they'd kept the vehicle again to "look at it", I was basically told that "they couldn't find anything wrong with the timing issue" that they resolved but nothing of the symptom that I bought my vehicle in for the first place? Again, the facts--- $4K later, I'll be taking my vehicle to another mechanic to see about having my issue resolved. I actually spoke to the owner--Mr. Jack, and he did convey that if there was anything wrong with what they did, that I should bring my vehicle back--at that point, I'd brought my vehicle in 3x and was experiencing the same issue (and did not have an official diagnosis of the issue).
Lastly, I'd like to add--I respect businesses in a sense that they provide a service, and I aim to compensate for that service for quality work and well their time. However, it's disheartening to miss time away from work and throw money at an issue and still be dealing with said issue 6 months later. There are no rebuttals that I'll entertain to this review/my experience.
