I have been a loyal customer at this location for the past four years and never experienced any issues until October 2025.
On October 24, I brought my car in for a brake and brake fluid service. They kept my vehicle overnight, which was not an issue. However, on October 25, when I returned to pick up my car, it would not start. I immediately informed Ethan, who was the only employee on duty. He attempted to start the vehicle multiple times and while doing it two fuses ended up blowing. It was also later determined that although I was charged for a brake fluid service, the brake fluid had never actually been changed.
On October 27, my father and I returned to the shop, and the car still would not start. We spoke with Adam, the manager at the time, and asked if they could repair the issue. He stated they could not and referred us to Tidewater Auto Electric. We asked if we would be reimbursed for the damages and related expenses, and we were told we would be, once all receipts were submitted.
Because of this, I had to pay out of pocket for:
A tow from Tire Choice to the electrical shop
A rental car so I could get to work and school
Electrical repairs
Once my car was fixed and the rental was returned, I submitted all receipts to Tire Choice. Between October 27 and January 9, I repeatedly contacted corporate and was either hung up on or unable to get any assistance. On January 9, corporate informed me that my reimbursement was approved in full and would be processed within 7–10 business days.
However, on January 12, I received an email from Matthew Shapiro, a liability analyst, stating that they would not reimburse me for the rental or towing costs only for the direct damages. This directly contradicted what I had been told previously.
To make matters worse, on January 4, while picking up my husband’s truck from the same location, one of their mechanics backed another customer’s vehicle directly into my parked car. I provided a statement and was told I would be contacted by their insurance company. It has now been over three weeks, and I have still not been contacted. Every time I call or stop by to speak with Jason Wright who is the general manager, he is never available.
At this point, I have experienced:
Damage to my vehicle after a routine service
Being charged for services not performed
Out-of-pocket expenses with no proper reimbursement
Another accident caused by their employee
Ongoing lack of communication and accountability
This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I have ever had with an auto service company. The lack of responsibility, transparency, and follow-through from both management and corporate is unacceptable. I will never return to this location and will not recommend Tire Choice to anyone.
