Evan helped me at the register and when the battery that the system suggested was incorrect he got the transaction adjusted and found me the correct battery. The experience was very easy for a person who knows very little about cars. Raymond and Evan were polite and knowledgeable.

I came into this location a few weeks ago and when I tell you he was so courteous, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He helped me with my issue immediately. I came back and had more questions I felt safe in his decision. This young man deserves a raise. I did not catch his last name but name is Evan. I believe he's the manager. I didn't feel he was trying to get over on me especially being a woman. I will also contact the corporate office on his behalf. If you ever go to this auto parts store ask for Evan.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
