  I normally do not leave reviews like this, but something seriously needs to be said about the Whistle Express location off Denbigh Blvd in Newport News, VA. This location has been closed repeatedly for weeks at a time, only to randomly reopen for a day and then close again for another week. As paying monthly members, this is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Customers are paying faithfully every single month for a service that is consistently unavailable. I have personally asked about this situation at the Hampton location, and the manager, Keith, explained that the Denbigh location is severely short-staffed. While I understand staffing challenges happen, that should not continuously fall on the customers. We should not have to drive all the way to Hampton just to get a basic car wash because the Newport News location cannot maintain stable operations. And with gas prices being as high as they are right now, it is honestly irritating to drive all the way to the Denbigh location just to find out it is closed AGAIN, and then have to turn around and drive all the way to Hampton just to wash a car. That is ridiculous. If one location is going to constantly be shut down, then where are the membership discounts or credits for the inconvenience? What makes this even worse is that the Denbigh location already has issues when it IS open. The vacuums barely work half the time, and the chemicals honestly do not clean the vehicles as well as they should. So customers are already dealing with inconsistent quality, and now the location is randomly closing whenever it wants to on top of that? That is crazy. There are also no reliable posted hours, no updates, and no direct number where customers can actually reach someone before wasting a trip driving there. People are literally pulling up just to find the gates closed with no warning or explanation. At some point, management and district leadership need to step in. If staffing is truly this bad, then supervisors and managers should be helping keep the location operational instead of allowing it to constantly shut down without notice. Paying members deserve consistency, communication, accountability, and reliable service. This has been happening far too often and it reflects very poorly on the company as a whole.

  Rubicel was an awesome attendant. Very nice and respectful. One of the best attendants here.

  Chris was very welcoming with his service when I came to get my car wash! I always love coming here and the employees are always great at what they do!

  I have a membership, and the last three times I went to get my car washed, they were closed. This was during their hours of operation. 🤷‍♂️
