  Had been using this Jiffy for years. Went December 2025 for an oil change & was told by Alex they could not get my oil cap off (it was overtightened and now stripped) and that this would have happened at the last place I had my oil changed, which he acknowledged was this Jiffy Lube. I was told they could replace the cap for $5/$6, but didn't have tools to remove and suggested I see a mechanic. I took my car to my mechanic and the entire oil pan had to be replaced because they could not get the cap off as well. Once I got my car back I took the bill ($500+) to Jiffy Lube. Thankfully Alex who responsibly and honestly acknowledged the error was Jiffy Lube's was there each time I returned to Jiffy. Alex got his supervisor on the phone, Craig and emailed over my info, the bill and my last service record. I was told I would hear from someone in 24-48hrs. No call. I returned a few weeks later and we went through the whole thing again with Alex, Craig stating he didn't even look at the email previously sent.. Alex sent yet another email to Craig & I was told I would receive a call that evening. No call. A few weeks later I called corporate office. I recieved a call a few days later from a Chris frim the company that owns this Jiffy branch and was told I'd recieve a call on Monday. A week+ goes by and No call. I called corporate again and within a day or so I get a call back, from Chris. I was told basically that my car is old and so it's my car's fault and so they aren't responsible, but here's a coupon for a free oil change because I'm a valued customer. An absolutely insane, irresponsible & tone deaf response to their own error, to which I responded that IF the cap was worn and needing to be replaced one of the techs would/could have said so and offered to replace it, as Alex himself did the day I went in for an oil change, and was told it could be replaced for $5/$6 dollars, but no one said that it was worn, old or needing to be replaced before in all the oil changes with this Jiffy, for years. I also stated that an oil cap can be over tightened on any car, regardless of the age, and that if this is how they respond to the error, why would I give them more service, keep your coupon... The service at this Jiffy Lube by the techs is great, but the higher ups, who gave me the run around for over a month, knowing they did not plan to take responsibility is appalling and they should not have jobs that require them to serve & value people.
