  I'll start by saying everything in this process went as advertised. The missing star will be explained in a bit. Everyone I spoke to on the phone (I had a lot of questions) was friendly, helpful and patient. The gentleman who came to my house was equally professional and equitable. Good communication throughout the entire process. As far as the 4 star rating, I feel the initial offer was a bit of a bait and switch thing designed to get someone out to the car. I detailed the major issues with the vehicle and was offered what I thought was an inflated amount. After looking at, complementing the condition of, and driving the van, I was offered a salvage price. Less than 1/4 of the initial offer. Let me be very clear here. I'm not insinuating any dishonesty on the part of the company, they're car dealers. You can take that for what it's worth. I could have easily declined the offer and told the gentleman I was sorry he wasted a trip. I didn't. I accepted $50 less than the salvage yard up the road offered me for the sake of convenience. Bird in the hand thing, which I believe is what they are counting on once they are there with their checkbook. Again, all above board. But if you're selling an older vehicle and you receive an offer over the phone that seems too good to be true, it probably is. I figured the final offer would be less, just not something so insultingly less. Again, I could have turned it down, so that's 100% on me. Bottom line, the van is sold and fifty bucks one way or the other isn't a crisis. It's the principle of the thing that bugs me. I'm sure they are a fair company to deal with, I'm just a little disappointed in the tactics I believe were employed. Would I deal with them again, absolutely. I would just have my guard turned up to 11.
