After having my car jumpstarted I came here at 10:45am, three employees (two women and a man) were at counter with no customers. Asked for an install and aparently none of them can install it even though it wasn’t busy??? Women were lisa and zuvan and A man named Robert. I undrstand if employees can’t do battery installs when it’s busy but why advertise it if no employees can change it??? 3 of them were doing nothing and nobody could swap.. Don’t come very frustrating

When I expressed frustration with one of the people at the counter that I paid money to have my car jumped in order to get me to advanced auto parts, and was told to turn off the motor and they couldn’t get it turned back on or jumped, she started chewing at me out asking why I was giving her an attitude. She literally told me “I didn’t make you pay money to get here.” 😑 So much for trusting advanced auto parts as my automotive partner for auto parts. This will be the last time I ever darken their doors. O’Reilly is right down the street and I will give them my business for all my vehicles.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
