  I’m not sure if it should be described as unethical, dishonest or bad business practice. I researched a problem with my Volvo and identified that it was the rear locking mechanism for the liftgate. I also researched the cost for the replacement part and found it to be on average $165 with an MSRP of $220. This dealer charged me $500 for the same part. When I explained to them that other dealerships had it for 165 they just said they don’t make the prices.With a 300% markup, somebody in that dealership must be setting some kind of price. I had them refund the full amount, ordered the part online from another Volvo dealer for $164 with eight dollar shipping. The part arrived in two days. Six screws and about 20 minutes later the lock works perfectly. I’m not really sure why one Volvo dealership charges 165 and Berglund charges 500 for the exact same part. I would recommend to anybody double check before they pay.

  They had the car that I was looking for. Well, they had it at one of their other dealerships, but they were happy to get it to Lynchburg for me. David, my salesperson listened and made the deal happen. After being in a horrible car wreck in 2024 I wanted to safe car and that's why I wanted a Volvo! Thank you, David and coworkers for making the deal happen. I would be happy to refer them to anyone I know.
