I've taken out and replaced batteries before, but wasn't confident lifting the battery with my shoulder. I asked one of the guys that sold me the battery if he could help ( in which they offer that on the front of the window for free battery installations). He asked me what type of car do I have and said that he might not be able to help me since it might be on a list of cars that they aren't allowed to assist with. He looked it up and he did go outside with me and looked at the battery before repeating what he said inside. He walked back inside after saying sorry that he couldn't help, I called the advanced auto parts in short pump and asked if they could help and told him what was said. The associate said on the phone " he said what?!? That's one of the easiest batteries to install" he apologized for that and told me to come down to that location. I jump started my car and made it to that one where he apologized again and another associate assisted with helping me put the battery in. I don't know if the guy who initially rung me up was having a bad day or what, but because him in particular, no one else, I'll be going to the short pump location from now on.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
