  I've purchased 28 GMC Sierra trucks since 1995, but this is my first buying experience at Sheehy GMC in Fredericksburg. I found the entire experience to be exceptional. My sales associate, Ben Castro, was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, thorough, and helpful. From our first telephone conversation, he was polite and always followed through. Exactly as he promised. The 2026 GMC Sierra SLT I wanted was everything he said it was. The entire process, from selection to title work was extremely smooth and efficient. Everyone I met throughout the process was polite, professional, courteous, and competent. I recommend Sheehy GMC in Fredericksburg, and highly recommend you allow Ben Castro to find the perfect GMC for you.

  Not great. Always excuses why they can’t do something instead of working with me on a solution. They aren’t open for anything other than oil changes on Saturday. Which is ridiculous. How can people bring in their vehicles if they work full time? You can't book a rental car through this dealership which doesn’t make any sense. Been to multiple dealerships in 6 different states and I never had an issue booking a rental car at the dealership. Just overall hard to deal with. It is what it is. Just got to deal with it. I just want my truck fixed

  I had a wonderful experience at GMC Dealership. The entire team provided excellent customer service from start to finish. They were very kind, patient, and truly took the time to help me find the right car for my needs. I am extremely happy with my purchase—the car is exactly what I was looking for! They also gave me a great price, which made the whole experience even better. I really appreciated how well they treated me throughout the process. Everything felt smooth, honest, and professional.   This is the second time in a row where something was done or added to what we wanted done and was charged for services we did not authorize. To say "I pointed at the poster" by the service writer to indicate that my husband was supposed to understand that he was being charged for something he didn't sign up for is ridiculous, especially since he is dyslexic and takes a long time to read something. Then we were told "It was all in the printout" and again, my husband was expected to read quickly what was in an 8-font print. If you are doing ANYTHING that has a charge to it, you need to be EXPLICIT with the customer what that cost is and why it is being charged. You do not know who has a reading disability so saying you pointed to it and printed it technically makes you non-compliant with ADA and are setting yourself up for a lawsuit. I love me some Sheehy and never had an issue with the Subaru dealer right next door, but since we got this truck at this location, service has sucked in terms of their explicit communication with cost, etc. The Sales department has been great, service sucks.

  Sheehy GMC Fredericksburg, VA. I found the color truck I wanted. A 2018 GMC Sierra SLT with 36,000. Miles on it but 3 1/2 hours away. It was 7 years old, so I bought the $4000. warranty. And my specific question was, does it cover electrical problems. Answer, yes, after a $250. Deductible. The first time I didn’t drive it for 4 days, the battery died. Jumped it off, and battery charged up. Then it happened again and again after not driving for several days. So I took it to a local garage. He kept it 5 days and said I didn’t have a draw, and advised to replace the battery. I did, and it died again, and again. So, I took it to our local GMC dealer. He called after the first day and said I definitely have a draw, but it’s intermittent and I needed to ok a few more hours. I told him I have a warranty so go ahead. It turned out to be a hood latch sensor cutting on and off, draining and damaging my battery. The invoice was $665. The warranty said they would pay $16.00. I called Sheehy and the finance department doesn’t answer or return calls for 2 days. So I called sales, and they got Kate to answer. She said it’s covered, that the GMC dealer wasn’t writing it up correctly. So I told the GMC representative and he called the warranty company and they said they would pay for 30 minutes labor, not the hours it took to figure it out. The hours labor was my deductible. So they pay $16. I pay $665. I called Kate. No answer, no return calls. The moral of the story is you can’t trust a Sheehy dealer to back up what they say when it comes to a warranty. If I had been local, I would have taken it back to Sheehy the first time it happened. Don’t buy their Easy Care warranty. Mike Link
