    The men in the reception area just glanced at me and continued chatting and when I said I needed an inspection I was given a condescending “it’ll be a minute” and went right back to chatting with his coworker. I was told the wait time on inspections was about 2-3 hours but it took over 5 (a state inspection on a brand new vehicle). 2 stars for the two employees that were helpful but I think I’ll be making the trip to Ashland for future services.

    Dealership are known for being price gouging entities. Purvis is the worst in Virginia. Karen the service rider told me that they always replace the rotors when they replace the back brakes whether they are bad or not. Standard operating procedures. You don't have a choice or at least I didn't. I checked around after I was told that the cost would be $795 and Purvis was $250-$400 dollars more than local service providers. I will never ever bring my car to Purvis again. I believed they would be honest and fairly priced dealership wrong on both accounts. Buyers beware if you do service with the dealership

    The closest Ford dealership to me, Purvis Ford, has been absolutely top-notch. I actually purchased my Bronco from a different dealership while searching for my dream car, but I’m so glad to have such an excellent team nearby for service and support. I’ve had a couple of minor issues come up, and each time they’ve been incredibly responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. The staff is consistently courteous, professional, and efficient. It’s reassuring to know I can count on them—highly recommend!

    I recently purchased a new car from Purvis Ford and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Purcel, my sales rep, and Kathy in finance were absolutely amazing—professional, patient, and truly went above and beyond to make everything happen. They made the entire process feel easy and stress-free, took the time to answer all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Highly recommend Purvis Ford, and definitely ask for Purcel and Kathy if you’re in the market for a new vehicle!

    Quite possibly the worst service I have dealt with at any dealership or service. My car was dropped off via tow truck on Sunday and through their website I scheduled the earliest appointment possible, which was on Friday, to get potentially unrelated recalls taken care of. On Monday I called multiple times, each time letting the phone ring for anywhere from 3-7 minutes with no answer. On two separate occasions the wonderful woman transferring calls took down my information to walk it over to the service department. That afternoon I got a voicemail (Verizon blocked it as spam) where they stated they had my car and they see the appointment on Friday but they’ll look at it sooner if they can – so totally ignoring the message that my car had broken down and is likely unrelated to the recalls being taken care of on Friday. I called again and left a message stating that the appointment is unrelated to the fact that my car had broken down and I was hoping that it could get looked at sooner to determine if the issue had anything to do with something other than the recall so that we could have parts ordered or a path forward – what I didn’t want to happen was wait until Friday to be told it’s something else and they would need another week or two to get to it. I received a call back later where the person I spoke with explained that while nobody had looked at it yet, based on my message it was likely a transmission issue – already aware of that and made note of that in the message I left on Sunday. He gave me the ballpark estimate of $6,500 for a transmission replacement after making it sound like it’s regular maintenance to replace a transmission – and told me that possibly Tuesday, certainly Wednesday they would conduct a transmission diagnostic to confirm the issue. It's Thursday and I’ve gotten no word, I still have no vehicle, no update, and certainly no service from the “service” department. I called this morning and it sounded like someone answered the service line – then it immediately went to voicemail. Called again and spoke with the woman transferring calls and she took my information and it is now approximately 5 hours later and I have yet to receive any callback or update of any kind. Frankly it is absolutely ridiculous that the service department is seemingly a black hole of information where communication and updates go to die and I can safely say that I will not return to this location under any circumstance – assuming I get my car back. I would not recommend this location to anybody and if you, potential customer, are reading this, go ANYWHERE else to get work done and if you are looking to purchase a vehicle, I can assure you that it would be worth going up North or going down South to a different dealership if the “service” I have received thus far is any indication of the work culture at this dealership. Edited to add: This is the same location where I dropped my wife’s vehicle off to get “The Works” package done and when I returned to pick it up, they drove a totally different car out and handed me the keys. I quickly pointed out that that was not my car and the employee then questioned me if I was sure. I told them yes, pretty sure I know what vehicle I dropped off. He then asked to see my paperwork to confirm that yes, I did in fact drop off a different model and different color car that morning. We went inside where he questioned the women at the front desk and I got to watch as they fumbled through cabinets and drawers to find my keys and explained that the issue was that I had the same last name as somebody else that dropped off their car….. very reassuring attention to detail on display…
