- KMKermit MinnickFeb 28, 20261.0This location is by far the worst one in the area. I always have issues there. Yesterday I bought an ignition coil, went home and realized I could have paid 1/3 the price on Amazon, went back a few minutes later and they refused to accept the return. She claimed it was against company policy to accept returns on electrical items. Advance Auto Parts clearly states company policy is to accept unopened electrical parts for 45 days. The box was unopened. As per the usual all I had to do was go to a different location and they happily accepted the return. Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra minutes to a location that actually adheres to company policy

The overweight short fella walked over and locked the door before 8pm. The phone numbers to report problems aren't still hooked up. They lost my business forever, O'Reilly's is open tell 10pm. This is the second bad experience ive had at this advance auto parts location. Save yourself some trouble and go to a store that actually appreciates your business. Its not this one.

When they did not — and obviously incorrectly assured they would fit — I tried to return them. I was told that because I opened the small package, it’s NOT returnable. So be advised. Do NOT trust this store to sell you the right equipment. It’s a bad business that does this to its customers. Stay away. Plenty of other options.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
