This guy is the real deal — knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely gives a damn about helping people. I walked in stressed out after getting quoted nearly $400 for a battery at Bill Page Honda, and Dave didn’t just sell me the right battery — he saved me a ton of money, installed it right there on the spot, and even tested my alternator for free. He treated my car like it was his own, took the time to explain everything, and made sure I left with peace of mind. Bill Page Honda wouldn’t even answer a simple yes-or-no warranty question without demanding $200 upfront. Dave? He had answers, tools, and solutions — no games, no runaround. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
