  Great folks, really took the time and effort to get to the root of a problem tire I had on my Tesla. Got it all fixed up for a fair price!

  I have been getting my cars serviced at Mr. Tire Fairfax, VA for around 20 years but my last visit two days ago left me very disappointed. It appears the staff changed recently and are not well trained. I had gone for a safety and oil change. I left my car at the shop. I get a call a few hours later that the car was ready for pickup. When asked about the safety test, the person tells me it failed - this was only when I asked about it. This has never been my experience before here or any other shop. I have always been notified of what failed and what it would take to fix it. For some reason the person was not upfront. When pressed about the estimate of the fix the person says it cannot be done today as they have to get the parts - front lower control arm bushings. He even suggested I will have to pay a deposit to do the job. At that point I was already unhappy and decided to pick up my car and take it elsewhere. The shop that I took it to, said that my coolant reservoir was empty and did not have real coolant - was like water was put in. The radiator was replaced 5 months ago by Mr. Tire so one wonders what they actually did when they replaced the radiator. Additionally the power steering hose was leaking which Mr.Tire did not talk about. All in all a very bad experience and I will not be visiting Mr. Tire again.

  These were the most incompetent mechanics I’ve ran into yet. I went in for a simple set of tire changes, upon setting the appointment they tried upselling me for an oil change. Then upon dropping my car they notify me that some of my rear wheel studs were stripped and required me taking to the dealership to get replaced. After that remark, they asked if I wanted to get an alignment done even though I still had to change my tires….. Getting the car back, I went buy a set of new wheel studs. I take the car to different tire shop only to have that shop owner tell me all the studs were fine and they were able to change my tires and do an alignment promptly. I understand if the shop is full of new employees, but to not be able to your job with all the needed shop tools is not an excuse. I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone, even for a simple tire change.

  Came to this location for a tire plug and one light changed out . I had a sharp object in the middle of my tires that were only 9 months old . So you can imagine me wanting to save this tire if possible. The Manager that I was taking to on 03/14/ 26 was nice overall but based on what I’m about to tell you I don’t think he very honest . After looking at the tire he told me that object was too deep and could not be pulled out . So I said no problem give me an estimate for the most affordable tire you have . Labor and everything plus ( one light bulb ) changed out came to $277 . I said let me just do the one light bulb and I will check around for other options on tire if I do t come back . When I got the bill I was charged for two light bulb replacement and I just payed it at this point . I ended up at another smaller business place and a great tech was able to pull out the sharp item that was not as big as believe and plug the tire all in 15 min cost me $30 . So I probably will not be returning to this location based off my experience not very good overall….
