She said "yeah sure we'll get you in today!" - right when she was transferring me to a store manager, she said that she would not be able to schedule me today. Talking to the manager to schedule an appointment for tomorrow, he told me the tire price which was $50 more than competitors per tire and I told him I'm sorry but i'm not interested and he slammed the phone down. If this is the way they treat prospects I feel like I dodged a bullet because I can't imagine how they treat customers.
- EWEric WestOct 13, 20255.0The water pump on my Cummins diesel decided it was time to stop working in the middle of a trip and that is not something you can put off repairing till some more convenient time. I tried one shop before I ended up at Mr. Tire. They were scared to do it as it is a diesel. Ironically it’s one of the easiest water pumps to replace as it’s a simple cartridge style. When I talked with Eric @ Mr Tire, he too was not familiar with the diesel. But when I showed him what was involved (as I have done the job myself before) he accepted the challenge. They got it knocked out the same day. Surprised me as they worked it into their schedule and 3 hours after I dropped it off, it was done. Not too many folks still use good judgement like Eric did, as was proven at the first shop when they were scared to do the job. Refreshing to deal with such competency.
