- GMGrace MarchelloJul 22, 20252.0We had reserved a 16' truck and arrived early for pick up. The first truck we were given had an engine code for an issue with the ABS. I did not feel comfortable driving through mountainous terrain with this issue- so we requested another truck. They gave us another truck but the key did not work to turn on the vehicle. Finally, they offered us a 3rd vehicle to drive. I asked if this truck was 16' like the one we requested. The worker admitted it was 15'. They were going to charge us the full amount for a smaller trucm than we reserved. We requested yet another truck- one that was the size we paid for and that didn't have high risk engine codes. It should be noted that with every change of vehicle they had to redo all the paperwork. We were under extreme time constraints and this ordeal added a lot of undue stress to a very stressful day. The truck we got did not have a full tank of gas- which is something they advertise their trucks having. Overall, this was a stressful and extremely frustrating encounter. Penske needs to check their vehicles prior to reservation pick-ups to ensure drivers get what they paid for.

First i was told to pick up the Penske truck from a home depot in chantilly to later get told the truck was waiting for me in Fairfax station. After arriving i got assigned a truck that had a certain amount of miles but was given a different truck. Upon the Penske employee realizing that, he had to change all the information he had just filled out. I rented the truck for a day and my drop off time was sunday at 5.25 PM buy on sunday the store closes at 3.00 PM so i left the keys inside the drop off box. Monday morning i wake up and look at my bank statement and they charged me for an extra day!! The refund took a long time to process and I STILL HAVENT GOT MY 150 SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. Awful awful company!!
