Ended up with a brand new Ford Explorer with all the bells, whistles and safety features (even had a heated steering wheel) which was very comfortable for the 8 hour drive to Niagara Falls. Handled great on the road in the wet and windy path near Lake Erie. So we put all the new miles on that baby. Checking for pickup and checkout was fast and efficient. Will use again when in that part of the east Coast.

The license verifying ID was down, so the manager refused us service, even though I had a VALID LICENSE from my home country. We had prepaid for the car rental and the manager assured 100% that we would get out money back, as they were not able to provide the service. It has been a month and ALAMO is refusing to reimburse us for the car rental that we didn’t receive. I sincerely felt that I was being racially profiled by the manager, who literally said we could try ANY OTHER car rental service in the airport, since they refused service, despite having a valid license. I really felt this was a scam. I would highly advice to stay away from this company if you are an international visiting the USA.
