  I chose Hugh’s Body Shop after getting multiple estimates. Their shop looked clean and professional, and although they were the most expensive, I assumed that meant higher-quality work. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. From the start, I clearly explained that I would handle all interior work myself (seats, airbags, trim, seat belts) and only needed them to repair the door and corner of the cab. The estimate I was given was high but acceptable, so I scheduled the repair. Once my truck was dropped off, communication and timelines completely fell apart. What was expected to take a couple of weeks turned into several months, with repeated delays and little explanation. When I went to pick up my truck, I was surprised to find the final price was higher than what we had discussed. After questioning the charges, I was initially told I could pay the original amount. However, my keys were then withheld until I paid the additional balance. Feeling pressured and just wanting my vehicle back, I paid the extra amount. The added charge was explained as “additional frame time.” Before bringing my truck in, I had measured and photographed the frame, and when I got it back, nothing appeared different except for spray paint. There were also new issues that were not part of the original damage. I was told in person these would be fixed, but later that was refused. After I left my review, the shop replied publicly and stated they would reach out to me. That never happened. There was no call, no email, and no attempt to resolve anything outside of the public Google response. Months later, this remains unresolved. I’m sharing this so others understand what to expect. Once payment was made, I received no follow-up support and no accountability for unresolved issues. I truly regret trusting Hugh’s Body Shop and would not recommend them.
